But the word depression is a clinical term that we do not find in the Bible. However, the Word of God has many vital truths that can shed light on how we should understand it biblically. In 2 Corinthians two strands are interwoven or intertwined together. On the one hand the pain, suffering and death of Jesus in a believer and on the other hand the resurrection power and risen life of Jesus. This was very true of the apostle Paul.
