Suffering and Glory

Pastor Chris preaches on Mark 8 on the need to get Jesus’ identity right as it affects our destiny.

The King Revealed

Everyone seemed to have their own understanding about the identity of Jesus. Our answer to the question of who Jesus is affects what we think our lives would be. Listen to the sermon on Mark 8:11-38 to find the answer and implications to Jesus’ question “Who do you I say I am?” Pastor Roger Chia preaches from Mark 8:11-38.

Men’s Rules or God’s Commands?

The Pharisees and teachers of the law charged Jesus with not observing the tradition of the elders which they regarded as on par with God's commands. Jesus responded by saying the tradition of the elders were man-made rules and regulations. The Pharisees and teachers of the law stressed the importance of being ceremonially clean. Jesus stressed the importance of being inwardly clean. A danger for us today is to shift the focus of our obedience from the inward to the outward. Pastor John Ting preaches from Mark 7:17-30.

The Rejection of Jesus

Why did the people of Nazareth reject Jesus? And why 2,000 years later, people continue to reject Him as the Son of God? Come and find out as we read Mark 6:1-6 and see how we may be encouraged from the Word of the Lord.

Jesus the Antidote to Fear

In Mark 4:35-5:43, Jesus demonstrates His power and control over the forces of nature, a legion of demons, disease and death. In each episode, He addresses man's fears, thereby presenting Himself as the refuge to all our fears. Pastor Adrin Muñoz preaches.

Why Did Jesus Teach in Parables

Jesus taught in parables to sift out and separate sincere seekers from those who were not sincere nor true seekers. The parable of the sower helped the disciples to understand why the responses to Jesus and his message were so mixed. The parable was also a call to be good soil. Pastor John Ting preaches from Mark 4:21-34.

Jesus’ Ever-Expanding Inner Circle

We all struggle to be part of some inner circles in society in order to feel recognised. Does God have an inner circle, and if yes, how does it look like and how can we be part of it? Pastor Lim Luck Yong preaches from Mark 3:7-35.

Follow Jesus

Have you been a Christian for awhile, but have not experienced the transformation that is written in the Bible? Are you new to Christianity and wondering what it is exactly all about? Or maybe you are a new believer and you are wondering what is the next step? All these questions will be answered in Mark 2:13-17.

Undercover God

Jesus plays the role of the "Undercover God" in Mark 1:21-2:12. He displays His divine authority, yet cautious in revealing His identity. Find out why from this sermon preached by Pastor Adrin Muñoz.

God’s Time Has Come

Both John the Baptist and  the Lord Jesus preached repentance. John Sung strongly preached repentance. I see parallels between the fruit of repentance seen in the ministry of John Sung and the fruit of repentance called for by John the Baptist. For both, repentance is concrete, practical, specific, related to one’s daily vocation and daily life and relationships. I suspect most of us need to take repentance more seriously. Far more seriously for some of us!
